Slimming world Week 4- How has the past week gone?
Can’t believe I am 4 weeks into my Slimming World journey already. This past week has been my best so far in terms of sticking to plan. I have still had a few naughty treats but overall much better.
My strategy of having some of the Iceland slimming world meals in the freezer worked really well. It ensured that I didn’t have any takeaways for dinner when I hadn’t had time to go shopping or cook.
I was quite sceptical about the Iceland meals at first, as I do always like to cook from scratch, or did pre children anyway! And have never really enjoyed ready meals much before. However, I was pleasantly surprised by these and thoroughly enjoyed them. Mind you like a lot of slimming world meals, what they lack in fat and sugar they make up for with spice. Beware you have been warned!
The green Thai curry Iceland meal was my favourite I think. I will definitely try making this one myself. I had this with cauliflower rice for an extra speed meal! It was delicious.
I feel like my sugar cravings are definitely improving, and having a hi fit bar, fat free yoghurt or flavoured coffee is keeping any sweet desires at bay. Thankfully.
Other meals I had this week were slimming world cooked breakfast, spaghetti Bolognese and overnight oats.
The Weigh in…
Because I had been relatively good this week and I weirdly felt lighter, I wasn’t dreading the weigh in. My aim from last week was to lose 1lb, and I managed to lose 1 and half lbs so I was pleased.
Although I have to be honest and say I had hoped that perhaps I had lost more than this. I felt like I had been pretty good with the plan. That is typical me though, setting myself an achievable goal but still being disappointed that I hadn’t done better! Hence my perpetual disappointment of myself.
For this following week…
So I have been a bit naughty already and had this weekend off plan. We had a busy weekend and went to Bristol food festival and their was so much yummy food and drink there it was impossible to resist.
But I feel like I’ve had my reward (and then some!) for being good last week and now I can get back on track again during the week.
I’ve already brought some more slimming world Iceland meals in case of days where no time to cook. Trying out some different ones this week, variety is the spice of life etc!
I am also going to try to drink more water, I am really bad at keeping hydrated at the moment, and is possibly contributing to my headaches. Plus I read somewhere that it’s important for weight loss to drink plenty of water. Just worried I am going to need to pee all the time, which is tricky when out and about with 2 little ones!
Aim for next weigh in…
On Friday I would have said an aim of 2lbs but now after my weekend of indulgence I’m going to say 1lb as I think it’s more realistic!
