33 weeks pregnant!

Hello, so today I am officially 33 weeks pregnant! Baby boy seems to like blogging as he is currently doing somersaults in my tummy whilst I’m writing this! This pregnancy seems to have gone much quicker this time round, I guess because I am busy running around after 13 month old Hayden.

One and half weeks left at work and can’t wait to finish to be honest, the long shifts are a bit of a killer. Seem to be struggling mostly with hip/pelvic pain at the moment which is making sleep a bit non-existent, just can’t seem to get comfortable at all, tossing and turning a lot which in turn is annoying for my husband, Mike. Just ordered a special pregnancy pillow from amazon to use so I’m hoping it will help, fingers crossed!

I debated about sharing this next part on my blog as it’s personal and pretty embarrassing but I decided that I would rather my blog be candid and an honest account of pregnancy/life so here it goes…

My other biggest problem at the moment has been urinary incontinence when coughing/laughing/attempting to move too quickly! This has gotten gradually worse throughout pregnancy but particularly in the last month where I’ve had one viral infection after another and have been coughing relentlessly. It’s really been getting me down and I’ve been struggling to cope with it emotionally feeling very much like an old lady. I know/hope it will get better again when a) I’m not ill and coughing and b) not pregnant anymore and c) when I actually remember to Do my pelvic floor exercises regularly it’s just hard to deal with now, I’m embarrassed to go out in case something happens.

On a more positive note, I have finally started to organise all the baby clothes and I am looking forward to my afternoon tea baby shower in a few weeks time.

  1. Please do remember the incontinence when baby born and do the pelvic floor exercises. It will definitely be worth it – talking from experience of course x x

  2. Oh man, there are so many embarrassing elements of pregnancy / childbirth / motherhood. Mine is the dreaded piles – they were bad in pregnancy, hideous after the birth and still flare up now that the girls are 14 months. They don’t tell you about this stuff in the books, do they?! πŸ˜‚
