I’m a few days late with my slimming world update this week due to being away all weekend.
The weigh in
So my second weigh in last Friday…. I lost 1lb only!
I was initially pretty disappointed as I had hoped for a loss of 2lbs. However after I actually thought about what I had eaten in last week I released that actually I should be quite pleased with a 1lb loss. I had had 2 takeaways, half a bottle of wine, an Easter egg and a doughnut! And that was just what I could remember. So not great really.
I didn’t have time to stay for the group chat/therapy which in a way I as glad about as felt a bit embarrassed about by naughty treats. However it probably would have been positive to stay and talk it through.
As I left weigh in on Friday, I worked out that I still have 7 weeks and 7 weigh ins until our holiday in turkey. So still plenty of time to lose some weight pre swimsuit! Even if I only lose 1lb a week, that’s still half a stone off before holiday which would be great!! 😊
Having a meal plan was helpful but did kinda go by the wayside in several days due to not having time to prepare meals with the children. I did manage to try a few slimming world meals including overnight oats, diet cola chicken and chicken tikka masala. All of which were delicious! I can definitely see why the craze for overnight oats. As you prepare these the night before, I’m going to try and have this for breakfast more often so no prep in the morning needed.
As we are already on Tuesday, half the week before weigh in has already passed. As I have been away on a lovely long family weekend away, I unsurprisingly have not been that good. I admit I have indulged in wine, cocktails and cake! Hard to avoid when on holiday.
But I can’t change that now, and I thoroughly enjoyed my weekend so not regretting it! However, I am going to try and stay on plan for the rest of the week.
